Take care of immediate risks
Once everyone is safe, take reasonable steps to prevent further damage only if it is safe to do so. Follow emergency responders’ instructions.

Contact your insurer
Have your policy number, the date and location of the incident, and a brief description ready. Keep photographs and receipts when safe. Ask your insurer about the next steps and any urgent expenses.

Keep Fortiva informed
Notify your Fortiva broker during business hours, even if you have already reported the claim directly. Keep your claim reference number and adjuster’s contact details.
